I was curious about the oil rigs I have seen off the coast. I found this article very interesting. The rigs themselves fascinate me - the design, their construction and their operation. Amazes me the money involved and the analysis that goes into where they are placed.


This article is mostly about the old rigs — I see them on the horizon and I assumed they were still operating. But some of them are just sitting out there rusting away. Weird.
