Love’s Truck Stop

It was hard to leave Sandpoint this morning. I felt very comfortable there. I fought through the urge to play the Elks golf course again and well as revisiting the city beach on the lake.
I headed down US 95 toward this Love’s where I will get a shower for the first time in maybe ten days. Yikes. Is it ok to admit that? It’s not that I haven’t wanted to -/ it’s that I have not had access to one. No truck stops or state parks.
Random thoughts from this morning:
Northern Idaho is not ethnically diverse at all. White people.
I’m fascinated by how the train tracks are alongside US 2 and US 95. Many more trains out here than I’m used to in Virginia. Oh, I understand that the US highways and railroads both want flat areas.
I stopped by a golf course this morning — Twin Lskes. It is part of a community of modest and attractive homes. Must be both a retirement community and maybe second homes? Golf course was very pretty as was the driving range where I hit off their grass tees. It is Indian summer today and the members of Tein Lskes were out in force — both men and women. I noticed two things — everyone had their own personalized golf course and I have never seen so many uniformly awful golf swings. I must have seen 50 people’s swings and they were all atrocious!
At Love’s I broke down and had a Carl’s Jr. burger for lunch. I feel like I just ate Ethrlgetti.
How my life has changed that being at Love’s and Walmart are happy places for me.
Bring on November 5th. Let’s get this crap over with.
My golf swing is still ground under repair. My divots tell the story of my outside to in swing. Five percent of the time I chunk the ball. Ten percent I hit it thin. Almost every well hit ball land 10 degrees right of where I am aiming. I need some lessons.
I still have FOMO. I’m thinking it was easier when I was on a Mission from God yo get yo the Paris’. Now I much more coddiwomple. My life would be easier if I had an itinerary and stuck to it. Each day is full of random sightings.

I really am for smaller government but I’d be ok if got charge a “health tax” when I eat stuff like Carl’s Jr. I wonder over the course of a week how many of my calories count as unhealthy? I get everything in moderation but I some foods are just plain old bad for us — especially foods that taste yummy.
