Paris In The Evening

Paris, Missouri

August 20, 2021

This is a neat town of 1,200 people. You might think there were 3,000 residents with how busy the town is. Tonight is Friday night. The high school football team has a scrimmage. Downtown is packed for dinner. Folks are wearing their shirts and playing golf at Mark Twain Country Club. Lots of trucks going through the two bay car wash.

As opposed to the somewhat coldness I felt from people in North Dakota and Minnesota, folks here are really friendly. They make eye contact and smile. Clerks at the stores all say something along the lines of "come back soon."

Lots of neat houses, too. Big farm houses with big porches. Houses that would go for $1 million plus in Charlottesville. (No idea what they cost here.)

These aren't my best photos. I tried to make use of the great light this evening.
