I walked into a steam room this morning, joining two older gentlemen having a conversation about current events. After a minute, one asked me if I were ok with the subject of the conversation. I laughed and said I had no problem with them continuing. Turns out one of the gentlemen is a pastor. He said in his church he is criticized for suggesting mercy, kindness and understanding of all people. He said his parishioners want retribution against all those who don’t “worship Trump.” (His words.). He has told his parishioners that point of view is not Christian but somehow they justify it by viewing Trump as leading them to the country they want to live in.
My chuckle for today is that Vance says the government must do more to make railroads safe. Really? This is the same government that is rolling back environmental regulations?
I feel as though I live in a parallel universe.
