But Did I Die?

I’m in either survival or preparation mode for next Tuesday. I have stronger feelings than I perhaps “should” (I hate that word) about the potential outcome. It’s not that I think Harris would be a great president; it’s more that I can’t stand Trump and his sycophants. (Probably worth noting that I am fiscally conservative and socially liberal.)


I am tired of the bias reporting from all news outlets (not including Reuters and the AP). I am so over the name calling and the lying. And the never accepting blame. And the lying.


So I’ve — wrong. So I am trying to distance myself from the news. Other than what happens in the financial markets, my world won’t change much. My gas and electricity bills are not going down 50 percent. I will pay more for imported items and inflation might kick in again but I can probably absorb those. If Trump wins, Uber conservatives will see it as an opportunity to inflict their values on me but I probably can resist that for the rest of my life.


I set out the other day to find a “scorecard” I can use — what have the candidates promised. Others will disagree, but they both have promised changes they can not deliver. When they don’t, they will blame others and never say they were wrong.


I never found the perfect scorecard and am too lazy to make my own. But I found useful data in the following articles:
