Highlights:
What can I say about a day in which I visited Smoketown, Bird In Hand, Intercourse, Paradise, Blue Ball, Pottstown, Yellow House, Virginville, Shoemakersville and Reading?
I passed by the National Toy Train Museum -- there wasn't enough time!
Across the river from Pottstown is the Limerick Nuclear Power Plant. (Reminder, a limerick is is often comical, nonsensical, and sometimes even lewd form popular in children's literature. Composed of five lines or five-line stanzas, the limerick adheres to a strict rhyme scheme and bouncy rhythm, making it easy to memorize.). Could they have found a different name for the plant? In Connecticut there is a nuclear plant named Millstone -- always found that a bit humorous. They could have named the plant "The Neighborhood Nuke" because it truly seems to be located in a neighborhood. I've never been a nuclear power plant so close to a population center.
The roads I drove today were for the most part narrow county roads. Wore me out. I came to think of them as deep blue highways.
The area around Lancaster is beautiful. Rolling hills with deep green fields of corn and other crops. I thought I was both in Vermont (quaint and well kept) and Iowa with the beautiful corn fields.
I was reminded of how hard it is to eat healthy meals on the road. I did ok -- a turkey sub for breakfast, a cobb salad for lunch and a vegetable salad with grilled chicken for dinner. Bu there is the Dr. Pepper issue.
At the end of the day I was pretty well spent. Campgrounds appear to be full, Walmarts are not a sure bet for overnight, and no truck stops nearby. So I went a bit out of my way to find a hotel. Adjusting to being back on the road.

Wix is not great at keeping my photos in chronological order. And I am too lazy to sort them. So consider the following a unchronological collage of my photos from the day.
